belleair beach

Last week we visited Belleair Keys where my father-in-law lived for 20+ years.
We had a flood of memories from days gone by.
Happy times spent with "Grandpa Jim" at the beach.
While there, we were so fortunate to have a long conversation
with 92-year-old Sylvia Holstein who remembered Jim Sr.
as a good friend and shared great stories with us.

by the way . . .  Sylvia Holstein
is an amazing woman

I think there's something about this time of the year that makes us remember our loved ones. I've been thinking about my dad a lot lately. What a beautiful place you're at with such fond memories.

One of these year I want to spend Christmas at the ocean. Oh, to dream.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Thank you for introducing us to Sylvia. I really enjoyed reading about this extra special lady! What a gift she gives to those children. It saddened me and yet brought me joy to read about her life. Thankful for those who give as she does.

Good picture of your husband, in such a beautiful location!

Merry Christmas to you and your family!
