farewell

Saying goodbye to this home after 33 years
is one of the hardest things I have ever done
{I thought I was ready - turns out "not so much"}

Beautiful pictures of a beautiful family. Our house is on the market. I asked my husband if he would miss it. Where are you moving to.

Two years ago we sold our house that was home for 31 years. It was where we raised 3 sons. It's not easy!! I'm disappointed we didn't get a photo of the family by the front door as you did. How special!! We do have very fond memories of all the wonderful family times enjoyed there, but are thankful that we were able to downsize. Our son and his family recently returned from Cambodia for 9 months. I asked him what it was like to come "home" to a building that has no memories for him. His response was, "It's just wrong!" : )

Oh, how my heart hurts, for what you are going through.
But remember, you are going THROUGH this stage, not staying there.
You will get to the other side.
I'm praying for you.

By the way....
Great pictures! And I like what Ruthie said about having several pictures of the family at the front door. Special!!

AW...I'm sure! What lovely family pictures and beautiful house full of memories. We built our house when we were young and before kids and have lived here 26 years. I've often wondered how I would manage to pack up and leave it. I know it would be hard!

I feel for you! We moved from the home where our boys grew up two years ago. It was heart wrenching for several reasons. So many memories and changes are just hard. It will take time but you'll be happy. :)
