garden's end

There is just something appealing about the waning side of a garden that

makes me happy I live where the seasons change with such artistic elegance.

Wonder if I’ll feel this nostalgic in December??

Your sunflowers are huge!
Do you of Jim save the seeds?
My feeling about December...I'm to busy to even think about the garden.

When the winter rains come and I'm chilled to the bone I know that I'll be nostalgic for summer!

And it still holds it's beauty too...I am not looking forward to winter! ;D

Lovely photos and what a beautiful way with words... artistic elegance is a perfect description.

My garden is looking very sad after this past weekend snow and frost. I am saddest about my white (daisy-looking) mums. They just opened and were gorgeous. Now they are tinged yellow and looking ugly.

You really are blessed to live in the type of climate that you do. Down here, we just go from summer to winter with hardly anything artistic to enjoy.

I love this time of year too when the shadows are long and deep and the light changes. Our gardens never totally die here but I love the changes too.
