from cambodia to america

What a blessing to have our grand babies here for a whole month
and then . . . they are moving to British Columbia

I think that the person the Talstras will miss
most of all is dear, dear Ming Kohm
{Yay-Yay to Cedar and Ezra}

When Cedar was born our Wine-on-Wednesday Friends
gave the Talstras a Pea Pod travel bed.
It still gets a lot of use . . .

pomme

Overheard during lunch . . .
"Grandma Mary, how do you say farted in Kuh-mai?"

I guess the answer is "pomme"
{Two years old and traveling between two languages}

A comment from one of my friends . . .
"There is a lot of beautiful mischief in those eyes!" (RD)

Also overheard . . .

@ 5:30am - Phnom Penh 99 / Brockport 56
While letting the cat in a sweet little two year old voice says:
“Ooooo Grandma Mary, America is so cold”

Cedar: “Can I try on your ring Grandma Mary?”
GM “It’s stuck I can’t get it off”
C: “Just suck it like this
{putting his knuckle in his mouth}.
That’s what Papa does.”

Cedar: {Looking at a pizza in the oven} “Grandma Mary what is that?”
GM: “What does it look like?”
Cedar” “It looks good”

Cedar {talking to Blaine's dog}:
"Cooper do you want to race?
. . . . He says no"

fast-food toys

While my grandson is visiting he will get to
play with a few toys that were his mother's.
Perhaps they may look familiar to some of you . . .

Our sweet grandson {in Cambodia} has just turned two years old.
There are some very cute photos of him on his mom's blog . . .

In October were fortunate to spend a month with him in
Bangkok and then Cambodia
and now we miss him {and his family} very much.

taggy blanket two

We have two new babies {grandchildren} in our circle of friends so I made them each a taggy blanket. I posted a tutorial on how to make one here but I made these new ones a bit smaller {aprox 8 x 15 inches} than the original.

Our little Cedar loves his.
It is perfect for his little hands that can't quite grasp a toy yet.
