creative christmas bowling

During our annual christmas family bowling we got a bit creative  . . .

frame one: use your non-dominate hand . . .

frame two: keep one hand in your back pocket . . .

frame three: two handed roll . . .

frame four: do a pirouette before releasing the ball . . .

frame five: hike it like a football . . .

frame six: take eight steps before releasing the ball . . .

frame seven: start in the neighboring lane and cross over to yours . . .

frame eight: hop on one foot . . .

frame nine: keep both feet planted {or at least try} . . .

frame ten: hold hands with a friend . . .

so now you get the idea - everyone got to choose one way to bowl
what would your ideas be ??

I'll let you in on a secret . . .
one of our bowlers had a higher score with
creative bowling than regular bowling
but I won't mention who

What a HOOT!
I vote for a blind fold frame!
(way to go on the good score!)

I can't tell you how much I LOVE this! It makes me want to take the family (or at least the husband) out bowling. We haven't done that in decades. I'm serious!

My favorite was the football hike, but a close second would be the hand holding.

Really, you have made me want to bowl. I don't even know if our alley is still open here.

(And you asked a questions about my mother's decorations: She did this just this year. She does something new every year. She traces what she wants on plywood using an overhead and transparencies, then she cuts them out and paints them.

And she doesn't "let" anyone help her because she keeps her theme a surprise out in her work shed until sometime in November.

That last part has got to give soon, though. She is not physically able to do what she THINKS she can do.

Very creative, indeed! Loved it! I used to enjoy bowling but with my bad back and bad elbows and bad knees ... well, you get the picture.

What a creatively fun way to celebrate the holidays together. I loved the various bowling forms, and I am still smiling at the pictures. Makes me wish I would have been there.
