corn on the cob butter

My cousin Sue taught us this great way to butter our corn on the cob.
She put a stick of butter in a jar and poured hot water from the corn over it.
Our guests just dipped the corn cob in the jar and viola - buttered corn!

OOOHHHH!! What a great idea. I'll have to try this one on my little family. Caleb will probably have the most fun "to dip it"... as he would say.

You know how we used to butter our corn, as a family growing up? We would butter a slice of bread. Hold the bread in our hand sort of cupped in our hand, then roll our corn cob inside the bread. Of course, the bread would be all warm, soft and buttery-gooy...and part of our meal.

By the way. That corn looks yummy. I love yellow corn.

What a great new idea! Seems so much easier than brushing the butter on. Can't wait to go get some corn from the farm up the road.

Thank you for your kind comments on my blog.
