detour

Our little village has had our Main Street torn up for most of the summer.
It is quite a challenge to navigate around town getting here and there.

One convenient short cut that helps out is right thought this poor church's parking lot. Something I'm sure they are not thrilled about.

They put up this great sign up the other day.
I'd call this making lemonade out of lemons wouldn't you?

  1. That's awesome. You're right. Making the best out of the situtation... and you never know... how much of a seed they've been planting in the heart of that one soul.

  2. Lemonade is always better than sour grape juice, especially in church. Kudos to them! And good luck to you as you maneuver your detours!

  3. We've had road construction by our home for going on two years now. I'm getting pretty good at detours. Love the sign, perfect timing.

  4. That is very clever. We have a church near us that has the funniest and most though provoking quotes. One if Loved was, "Honk if you love Jesus, Text while driving if you want to meet him" or something along that line.

  6. What a great sign! Hopefully some of those people came back for church on Sunday! Everything happens for a reason... even detours through a church parking lot!
