the apron

A few years ago my daughter's Dutch Canadian in-laws were with us for our annual 4th of July Prairie Picnic. Amanda's mother-in-law was interested in my vintage aprons. Isn't she too cute?

This fall I found a vintage apron at an antique store and it just seem to have her name on it so . . . I sent it to her for Christmas.

The gift that keeps on giving. This spring Hilda sent me this delightful book.

Thank you, Hilda, for being so thoughtful!

  1. I really want a copy of that book for my SIL. She would love it! What a fun apron you sent your dear friend, and what a fun way for her to reciprocate. Love the smiles on your faces on these pictures.

  2. When you give from the heart, it really touches the receiver. It makes a huge impression.
I know from experience (hats). You have a special way of knowing just how to reach out and show kindness.

Hilda must be thrilled to be apart of YOUR family.

  3. Those aprons remind me of my Grandmother. She had so many different ones. My sister and I would play dress up with them... fun memories and what a great book!

  6. You'll probably not see this, but THANKS for the head's up on this book. I copied down the information for it. Not only would I like it, but it would be a nice part of an apron gift.

    I just LOVE aprons!
