It has been a summer of wonderful events and family gatherings.
Our family was all together for the first time
in two years and every moment was a joy.
As the boys left we were sad but we know we will see them again soon.

When Amanda and Daniel left today it was extra
hard as they will, once again, be so very far away.

Let me know when they arrive back in Cambodia. Remember my brother is still there!
ReplyDeleteBittersweet.
ReplyDeleteOh my, enjoy the quiet! Of course this is coming from my house where my kids primary goal is to drive each other crazy!
ReplyDeleteDee Dee
Oh my gosh, Mary. This post made me cry..especially the note on the chalkboard.
ReplyDeleteVery bittersweet, I am sure. Enjoy the time with your husband :)
When I read the chalkboard I got tears in my eyes. Just like Dee Dee I am sitting here listening to children drive each other crazy.
ReplyDeleteYour family is beautiful and looks like you raised some wonderful adults! Any advice for us on how you did it?
Wendy
And then there were two - right back where you started. Hope you are adjusting well.
ReplyDeleteYou know what I see?
ReplyDeleteI see handsome, funny, happy and loving children. That were raised perfectly.
Quiet, yes.
A bit sad, yes.
But both of you are well loved and that is what I also see.
What a summer! Soon I will be joining you with the "then there were two" happening. I could relate to your sad heart and to your happy, special memories of the summer. God has blessed you with a beautiful family.
ReplyDeleteAwww....just look at all of those cute couples! You should be proud!
