circle of life

All of the fishing we do is "catch and release"
Occasionally {sadly} a fish will swallow the hook and die.

It's never long before a gull comes along.

seven gables

for the next week you can find me here . . .

Seven Gables Duplex Rental
Thousand Island Park, NY 13692
1 block off the St. Lawrence River

Beautiful Seven Gables is located in Thousand Island Park, a historic community of Victorian homes dating back to 1875. It is on Wellesley Island, the second largest of the Thousand Islands, and is accessed from I-81 over the International Bridge just before entering Canada.

Nearby Attractions
It is not possible to describe everything there is to see and do in this area, but you will definitely not be bored. In our community, there is fishing, swimming, tennis, baseball and soccer, a library, snack shop, grocery store, a great restaurant, and movies shown every weekend. All that is in walking distance. If you want to get in your car, golf is a few minutes away, and there are even two famous Castles you can tour.

the light of day

Never try to solve problems at night . . .

The best advice my father ever gave was passed down from his dad: Never try to solve problems at night, because they always seem worse than they do in the morning. Though I sometimes lack the self-control to follow this sage suggestion, I’ve learned over the years that it’s true. Darkness can make even the smallest obstacle seem insurmountable.

I find this to be SO true. How about you?
