oldest son

This fun young couple will be married one year from today on June 29, 2013

at Summerour Studio in Atlanta

This little guy is practicing for the wedding
by sporting his bowtie and suspenders.

{the bride said when choosing a ring bearer:
 "red hair and a bowtie were our main search criteria"}

Congratulations Benjamin and Lindsay!

twenty-five

My youngest son turns twenty-five today.
He has recently moved back home and is attending
college to become an elementary school teacher.

He has always been good with children and we know
that this career path is a good choice for him.

Mr. Corners and I each spent 30+ years teaching before retiring
so . . . this apple isn't falling far from the tree.

Happy Birthday Seth
We love you!

quilt #2

With guidance from the CCE quilting ladies
I made a quilt for grandbaby #2
just before leaving Florida.

I am thinking maybe a January gift . . .
since the new baby {and family} will be back by then.
He or she certainly won't need it in Cambodia
where they have just two seasons
"hot and hotter"
{For those of you that I have made knot bags for,
you may see scraps from your fabric in this quilt}

Here is quilt #1 that I made earlier.

new beginnings

On April 22, 2012 my sister-in-law
{whom I love dearly}
started a new chapter in her life

For every ending there is a new beginning
I know she will now find what she has been looking for . . .
