I have never been fussy about the shampoo or conditioner
I use, buying whatever brand is on sale until now . . .

I bought this one for the fragrance and now I love it.

Indulge your hair! Everyday, you ask a lot of your hair. Isn't it time to indulge it? With our Heavenly Hydration conditioner, say bye-bye to dry, frizzy hair. And the heavenly blend of orchid and coconut milk will have your hair thanking you in no time! We're proud of this conditioner and we hope you'll agree. Remember, your satisfaction is always guaranteed with Wegmans brand products - The Wegmans Family.

If you don't have a Wegmans near you , this is the generic version of
Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo Orchid And Coconut Milk

Cute story:
When this sweet little girl (my cousin's daughter) was
4 years old I asked her where she got her beautiful curls.

She gave me a puzzled look and answered, "creme rinse".

binder clips

I bought these little plastic binder clips at Walmart on clearance
for 50 cents. The last time I was there they still had some.

They are just the perfect thing for holding fabric as you sew it.

guest room

Ok, am I the only one that has clothes in
the dresser and closet of the guest room?

My sister-in-law will be staying with us for a bit.

Time to tackle this project that has been waiting
ever since we moved to a different bedroom.

Next, a trip to drop these off for the church rummage sale.

30 Jazzercise classes in two months.

When you prepare for a trip to Phnom Penh the CDC says
you need all of these medications (plus two shots not shown).

routine shots up to date
flu shot
hepatitis A shot
typhoid oral medication
malaria antibiotic
febrile diarrhea medicine (just in case)

We are looking forward to meeting Cedar James!
How did they choose his name we asked?
Answer here: we live in all we seek

I have left a few blog posts in my queue so you won't forget about me!

Wish us luck as we are not the most seasoned travelers. Yikes!

perfect sugar cookies

Perfect Sugar Cookies
2 dozen large hearts or
3 dozen 2” circles or
4 dozen small hearts

My next batch was heart shaped
for Valentine's Day

Ingredients:
3/4 c. butter, softened
1 pkg (3 oz.) cream cheese softened
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. powdered sugar (2 oz / 113 g)
1 egg
1 tsp. almond extract
2 3/4 c. flour (11.7 oz / 330 g)
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375.
2. Cream butter, cream cheese and sugars in large bowl until fluffy.
3. Add egg and almond extract beat until smooth.
4. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
5. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Stir until soft dough forms. Chill
6. Roll out and cut with cookie cutter. Thin dough will make crunchy cookies.
For soft dough, it needs to be about 1/4 in.
7. Bake 8-10 minutes on parchment-lined cookie sheet.

Frosting:
2 Tbsp butter (softened)
2 1/4 c powdered sugar (9 oz / 255 g)
1/4 c milk (a little at a time until right consistency)
1/4 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp almond extract
sprinkles
food coloring (optional)

Add milk a little at a time, beating until smooth and thin enough to spread.

This recipe makes the best cutout cookies I've
ever made and is totally stolen borrowed from
Lil’Luna all things good
